Packed with features like Wireless Remote Shutter Release, the Nikon ML-3 Compact Modulite Remote is perfect for time exposures and close-ups. It reduces vibrations significantly.

Our Take on the the Nikon ML-3 Compact Modulite Remote:

The Nikon ML-3 Compact Modulite Remote is a perfect fit for shooting time exposures and close-ups. When a subject moves between the transmitter and the receiver, it can also fire the camera remotely, which is particularly useful in surveillance or wildlife photography. It also enables remote control for two distinct channels through an infrared LED beam. Apart from this, it provides automatic camera operation from a distance of up to about 26-feet (8 m). Furthermore, it supports several modes including single, continuous, delayed single (timer), and motion-activated shooting.

The transmit button of the Nikon ML-3 Compact Modulite Remote is formulated to function in the same way as the shutter release button of the camera. It starts the autofocus detection when the user lightly presses the transmission button that turns on the camera's exposure meter and ultimately starts the autofocus. The remote is light in weight, compact in design, and turns out to be handy for taking photos while coaxing a subject. The remote operates on two AAA batteries and the receiver acquires its power from the camera itself. It is particularly made for Nikon 10-Pin cameras and provides wireless remote shutter release.

The Nikon ML-3 Compact Modulite Remote fires the camera when the transmitter is focused in the direction of the receiver's sensor and the transmit button is clicked. To connect the remote, you only need to insert the receiver and lock it into the camera's or Speedlight bracket's accessory or a hot shoe and connect the remote cord to the remote terminal. Moving ahead, the recommended camera settings are L or H film advance modes, Aperture-Priority Auto or Shutter-Priority Auto, Programmed Auto (P/Ps), and C or M focus modes. The remote can trigger the camera when a person passes across the remote line, which can make for creative shots. All in all, it is easy to use and proves useful for macro photography.
